Today is a good day.

You know those stories that you’ve been sending around for what seems like forever? Not the ones that you’ve realized are imperfect or need serious editing or that just plain suck and must be burned and buried. Not those. You know, the rare stories that you absolutely, totally, completely are in love with, the ones that you were kind of blown away by despite the fact that you wrote them, the ones that you can’t believe keep get rejected again and again and again until the smell of doubt starts wafting in and though you’re trying not to inhale too deeply you’re afraid you might succumb and abandon one of the only things of beauty you’ve ever produced?

Well, I just had one of those stories accepted by one of my favorite magazines, and it will be a perfect fit.  So today is a very good day.
